Food and hospitality have long been an important part of my work. I’m fascinated by craftsmanship and the culture surrounding what we eat. But for me, enjoyment goes far beyond the plate. I find it in music and in encounters that leave a lasting impression.
Travelling with my family has shaped the way I see the world. When you spend a lot of time in different places, you realise that what seems perfectly normal to you may be viewed very differently elsewhere. I enjoy these shifts in perspective. They keep me curious and encourage me to question my own assumptions.
Stories Beyond the Gloss
I write about whatever sparks my curiosity. For me, an interview doesn’t begin with the search for a catchy headline, but with a genuine desire to understand the person I’m speaking to.
I’m also interested in the more difficult aspects of a story. Not every concept is convincing and not every experience is positive. That’s part of what makes independent journalism important.
I can be enthusiastic about an idea while still asking critical questions. To me, the two go hand in hand.
What Interests Me
My subjects range from food and hospitality to music and culture. Sometimes they take me in completely different directions.
I don’t want to limit myself to one particular field. What matters to me is whether there’s a story worth telling.
This journal is where those stories find their place.
