On July 5, Schloss Kornberg hosted Fest der Sinne, a charity event in support of Austrian Cancer Aid. Against the atmospheric backdrop of the castle, guests and supporters came together with chefs and food enthusiasts to enjoy regional cuisine while contributing to a good cause.
The event was about more than celebrating good food. It was an opportunity to put that enjoyment towards a meaningful purpose. At various food stations, chefs from the region presented their specialities. Speeches and live music accompanied the afternoon, while a raffle helped raise donations for Austrian Cancer Aid.
The atmosphere in the castle courtyard was welcoming from the start. Guests gathered between the food stalls, beneath white parasols and in front of the castle’s striking façade. They enjoyed the food, spent time together and supported an organisation doing important work.
“Here, enjoyment is not simply celebrated. It serves a meaningful cause.”
I had the opportunity to attend Fest der Sinne as a journalist and experience the afternoon first-hand. It was an occasion that showed what can happen when people come together with genuine enthusiasm and a shared commitment.
Special thanks go to Renate Zierler, whose dedication and thoughtful organisation made the event possible. She created an atmosphere where good food and charitable engagement came together naturally.
